Sunday School

 

Our goal at Evangel is to train every student to understand the Bible and its doctrines. Dedicated Christian teachers present the message of God’s Word making practical and relevant applications. There are classes for every age – primary through adult.

 

Children and Youth

 

Evangel Baptist Church is concerned for your whole family. Our youth emphasis is geared to meet the spiritual and social needs of young people. Some of the youth programs include:

• Nursery for all services
• Children’s Church – during morning services through age 7
• Youth Group – Junior and Senior High
• Daily Vacation Bible School
• Rapidan Baptist Camp
• Sunday Night open gym

 

Evangel Christian School

 

The need for Christian education in our society is more evident than ever before. For this reason, a part of our church ministry is Evangel Christian School. Children are taught academic subjects from a consistently Christian perspective. The school consists of elementary and high school, grades K-4 through 12. Academic standards are high and our students score well on standardized tests. Most of our graduates go on to both Christian and secular colleges. The school is affiliated with the Old Dominion Association of Church Schools and the American Association of Christian Schools.

Fellowship

 

Events are scheduled for the purpose of building strong relationships within families and the company of the saints at Evangel. Examples include father daughter bowling, father son outing to attend a Washington Nationals game, a ladies garden tour and lunch at Mount Vernon, annual church picnic, and pie fellowship after the evening service on communion Sundays.
