On behalf of the saints
of the congregation of Evangel Baptist Church, I welcome you to our site.
What you will see and read reflects our mission as a congregation to exalt
Christ as revealed in God’s Holy Word. Our charge is to engender authentic
Christianity, which strives toward removing any inconsistency between what
God’s Word says and how each saint should live. Our ministries revolve
around edifying authentic Christianity in each believer through the singing
of the great hymns of the Faith, doctrinally based teaching and exegetical
Bible preaching. Young and old are taught the wonderful truths of the Bible
to the end that there be no broken links in the transmission of the truth
from one generation to the next. With the passion of our Baptist forefathers
to do all to the glory of God, we proclaim “Christ alone” for
the edification of the saints and the evangelism of the lost.
Bible Christianity
is distinguished by mercy and love for one another and for the lost. All
are welcome at Evangel Baptist Church. Evangel is a cosmopolitan church comprised
of saints from a variety of nationalities and ethnic backgrounds, united
by a common love for Jesus Christ and His Word, and knowledge of the undeserved
grace that saved us from our sins.
The largest ministry of the church is
Evangel Christian School. Reflecting the commitment of the church to Christ – centered
teaching, Evangel Christian School is committed to building authentic Christian
young people spiritually, academically and physically.
Since 1966, the grace
and mercy of God through the labors of dedicated saints has sustained this
work on the corner of Ashdale and Dale Boulevard. If you are searching
for biblically based, exegetical preaching, where the old-time gospel is declared
without apology, perhaps the ministries at Evangel will meet the needs
of your heart and home.

in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures
